The Raw Truth About Texting While Driving...

Texting while driving has been a problem for a few years now. I was on my way to Ohio and found myself stuck in a traffic jam....and I passed quite a few cars where the drivers were texting. Now much to my surprise every one that I saw was older. I want to say that the age bracket that was texting was from 30 to 50.
Now every day that I'm driving I see mostly women texting.....driving over 70mph and weaving in and out of lanes and sometimes almost side swiping other drivers; which are blind to the fact that they are so close to having an accident.

We put a lot of the blame on younger children and teens for texting expecially while driving....now don't get me wrong there are kids texting while driving, but every young person I see driving I don't see them texting.
Maybe we should have all drivers that carry a cell phone watch a short video on what happens when you text and drive....even though I personally don't text and drive I do have to briefly look at a map and the 2 or 3 seconds that I take my eyes off the road, I find myself getting close to the lines in my lane. when this happened a couple times I decided to add a turn by turn app on my cell phone that way my eyes never leave the road....and I'm a driver by proffession so I feel I did my part to keep the other drivers driving by me safe.
Please if you text and drive at least get a phone that lets you record your texting instead of typing your texts.....or please call...or if it can wait then please let it wait. All our lives depend on it.

Thank you and God Bless you all.

Raw Truth about Faith

***FAITH***I have had Faith all my life; Faith that things would go well, Faith that jobs would come my way and Faith that my Lord loved me. Now comes the testing of my Faith.
When I was 16 I was pushed into a very abusive relationship because my mom decided to move away from us kids and move into a boyfriends house.....leaving us the apartment with no money to pay for it. I decided to follow an older man to Chicago because I couldn't pay the rent with no job, so I dropped out of school and moved to Chicago.
6 Years of beatings and hiding I finely managed to escape for the final time.....Faith got me through it all. Then at 22 I got married and had my son at 23, another 6 years of cheating and verbal abuse and I managed to break free again....still holding on to Faith.
Then after finely feeling free I met another man that became my husband a year later. We stayed married just over ten years; life was almost perfect. I had gotten a divorce and for 3 years I was homeless, jobless and vehicle-less.....I am still struggling with all the above problems, but....my biggest test of Faith came after a positive test for Hepatitis C.
I do have a lot of health problems and I will be disabled for life, but when someone says you are real sick it hits like a ton of bricks. I had a lot of people praying for me; I asked my doctor how possible is it for a blood test to read wrong.....Well, she said, you have a 1% chance that it was a false positive, so we did another test. My Faith still holding on but scared all the same and with all the prayers my test came back clear......I don't have the sickness. 35 years of Faith and never once let down...now that is powerful and that's the Raw Truth!!!   (Although it says 35 years of Faith and I am almost 45, it did take me at least 10 years to learn about Faith :0)  )

The Raw Truth About Health

Sometimes you just go through life without a glitch and then there are other times when you go through life and it's filled with glitches.
Speaking on my last bout with the hospital and my face surgery....it's not over by any means....it's just beginning.
I'm very scared to find out what the University of Michigan is going to say about my extensive bone movement. I won't know until the 28th of December. At least it will be after Christmas. I don't really celebrate Christmas anymore ever since I have been divorced it just don't have the same feeling of togetherness and family meaning any more.....and that's a shame, I used to get the tree up the day after Thanksgiving, get it decorated and have my son and husband add the star at the top just before turning it on. Warm and fuzzy memories.
Maybe some day things will get back to normal, I will be able to celebrate with my son and his family....if he hurries and gets moving on finding that special someone.

You always hear people say I should have done things differently with my life and yes, even I say that at times, but I am truly blessed with what I have and whom I have for a family......I wouldn't trade them for the world.

So I had surgery on my face 2 Friday's ago and Praise God it was not a cancerous mass that had been removed, it was just showing up as tissue and some bone fragments, which replicated a tumor because it moved my facial bone way out of place. I have to go to the University of Michigan so that they can observe my problem. My ENT Doctor here in town said he has never seen such a thing in all his practice and he is hoping that the UofM will say it is something that they see routinely and that will be the end of that.
I know my body and it won't be the end of that, they might want to reconstruct my bone or maybe try to move it back where it belongs, I just don't know yet.
I take things for granted to much on a daily basis, but now that I am over 44 I have to really watch my self or next thing you know I will be in ICU with something crazier then what I just had........I have to slow down because I am easily getting worried and I don't have a love life or someone who can just hug me and tell me everything is going to be OK, I'm by your side!! I'm still searching for that special someone again to sweep me off my feet and fall hopelessly in love with. Where are you at Honey, Honey, Honey!!! <3 lol

I was pondering a thought;  back in 1994 I had to have a cyst removal in the roof of my mouth....yep that's right, in the roof of my mouth. I went to the dentist for a checkup because my front tooth was hurting, a bit loose (It had gotten hit years prior from an abusive x-boyfriend)...well it had gotten an abscess above it, just a pin size bump and I would always push the bump into my gums and it would go away in a couple days; I guess I was making it drain backwards by pushing on it and it formed a cyst and the cyst latched onto the pallet of my mouth and started to eat away the pallet. When I went to the dentist he told me that I had to have emergency surgery before the cyst burst and poison my brain........wow OK I had set up the surgery almost instantly....hum...Now we are sitting here 17 years later and I just had a large mass of tissue removed from behind my eye, which moved my bone as I mentioned above, do you think that the 2 things can be related?
If I could remember who my oral surgeon was at the time I would ask for a write up on it and maybe put together the findings from the past and now the future and they may be linked in some way.

I'm blessed to be alive....Praise God....I was saved 2 x by my brain almost getting poisoned, so someone up there really loves me a lot and still has work for me to do here on this plane and by George I'm going to comply.

If you have a health story similar, please feel free to comment, I would be very interested to hear about it.

God Bless you and Yours!!!

The Beginning

Upon walking home from the pharmacy I took my usual walk path thru a field between 2 factory's. My thoughts were wandering AGAIN on what I can do to find housing in 7 days with no job, no vehicle, no money, no help, no nothing; when I heard the crunching of leaves, I look over expecting to see an animal and instead I see half naked man in the bushes squatting over the ground reaching for a handful of leaves. Of course I quickly turn my head away from him before he sees me, and I keep it turned pretending not to see him until I was out of the field. As I continue walking to the home I'm about to be kicked out of in 7 days, making this my 4th home I 've been evicted from in the last 16 months, my mind started racing...when my mind starts it just doesn't stop.

Welcome into my mind for the next few minutes.....
Oh my GOD! please LORD don't let that man know that I saw him, please help me to be safe, please don't let that man chase me down and hurt me because maybe he knows that I saw him.
Oh that poor man, he must be homeless. Maybe he is drunk, no I bet he is sick and couldn't make it home before he had to take a s**t. Was he going to the bathroom? Is this what I'm gunna have to do in 7 days?
I wonder if I can live in this cemetery, I wonder if I can find a little cement building in this cemetery to live in?
No I can't do that it's not legal and besides what would I do with Frankie (My little dog)? I'm never gunna get out of this rut I'm in.
I wish people could really see how the world is. I wonder if I write the president could he help me? Does he really give a damn if there are homeless people using bushes as bathrooms?
These are not the obvious homeless people these are often people that are stuck in ruts and can't get help from a damn soul, and end up trying to stretch a dollar just to get a roll of toilet paper.
Of course you can get a roll of toilet paper for .79 cents and have a bit of change left to apply towards tobacco.
Society shuns smokers, don't they understand tobacco is a drug and when you are stressing about how you can keep a roof over your family's head, and how you can get a job with a much misunderstood police record on your shoulders, no vehicle to move with...or even live in for a while, that you need more and more of that drug.
I need to take my camera and snap pictures of the real world we are living in and write the "RAW TRUTH" about our wonderful United (ha!) States.
Oh my GOD, there is a little boy playing in the middle of the street, he can't be more then 2 years old. Oh wait, he's walking over to be with a bunch of other kids. I wonder where their parents are?
I bet they are out working and can't afford child care so they leave the kids to watch each other.
See no one can really truly understand what it's like to live in today's world.
YEP, I'm going to find it all and share it with the world so that they can see the people as they really are....as they really struggle, it will be nothing more then the "Raw Truth".

Well, I warned you. All those crazy thoughts raced thru my mind within 5 minutes (Welcome to the mind of a ADD/ADHD/Bi-Polar person ) and I was finely home...Or at least home for the next 7 days.

So from this/that day forward I will make sure everyone knows what really happens behind overlooked lives.
Thus that was the birth of my....."Raw Truth"

Anyone who might read this please bare in mind I don't really pay attention to punctuation so if you find it a bit hard to read...I'm sorry.
I am only going to express my/or others opinions so anyone who might be sue happy, I'm sorry I can't help you because even a penny in my pocket is a fortune.

Please stay tuned while I get the hang of blogging, I have quite a few exciting story's to share but going to the library to type them in is a bit time consuming.

GOD Bless all!!!!
